Chapter 623: The beautiful scenery of the Sea of Miracles!
"Thank you for your help, Jack," Locke said gratefully. "I am a newcomer and still need to learn a lot from you seniors."
"Don't be polite; we pirates are all brothers, and helping each other is what we should do," Jack said with a smile. "Your battle with Banks just now was also quite good; I see you have a lot of potential."
"Thank you for the compliment," Locke lowered his head and said modestly.
"Come, I'll take you to see the beautiful scenery of this sea area," Jack said, leading Locke toward the edge of a cliff.
This was a scenic spot in the Sea of Miracles; there was a tall tower on the cliff, and on top of the tower was a huge crystal. Jack took Locke to the top of the tower, and Locke saw a charming scene.
The seawater shone with gorgeous colors under the sunlight, and the distant islands and clouds reflected each other, forming a wonderful picture. Locke was deeply attracted by this scene; he felt as if he were in a magical world.
"This place is really too beautiful," Locke exclaimed. "I have never seen such beautiful scenery."
"Yeah, the beautiful scenery of the Sea of Miracles makes people linger and forget to return," Jack said. "This is the home of our pirate crew; we must protect this beautiful scenery."
"I will definitely work hard to make contributions to our pirate crew," Locke said, feeling his confidence ignited again.
"Very good, let's work together to create our own world!" Jack encouraged Locke.
After Locke and Jack finished enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Sea of Miracles, the two returned to the pirate crew's base. Locke decided to go to the tavern for a drink to relax his body and mind. He and Jack walked into the tavern together; it was very lively, with people drinking, chatting, and some people playing gambling games.
"Oh, Locke, you're here!" a pirate saw Locke and immediately shouted. "Do you want to play gambling with us?"
"Sorry, I'm not good at gambling," Locke shook his head. "I'm just here to have a drink and relax."
"Relax? Hahaha, what's there to relax about?" a big man grinned at Locke. "This place of ours is a mess; every day people are beaten, robbed, and bullied."
"No way, is it really that dangerous here?" Locke asked with some surprise.
"Of course, this is a gathering place for pirates, not a playground," the big man said. "If you don't have strength, you have to pay the price."
"I'm not afraid of paying the price; I will become more powerful and defeat any opponent," Locke said without fear.
"Hahaha, this little guy is really confident!" the big man mocked. "It seems I have to test your strength properly!"
He suddenly leaped up and launched an attack at Locke. Locke immediately drew his sword; his movements were very agile, and he could easily dodge the opponent's attacks.
"This guy is not bad," the big man praised. "It seems I have to take it seriously!"
He unleashed his move, his fist smashing toward Locke with the sound of wind. Locke did not show weakness either; his sword technique became sharper and sharper, and every attack made the big man feel pressure.
"You kid are not bad, but I have more tricks!" the big man roared loudly, his body becoming faster and faster, almost impossible to see clearly.
