Chapter 532

hacking and killing each other!

Blood had long since dyed this area red!

Warhorses neighed!

Soldiers screamed and roared!

It was truly a hell on earth!

The land under their feet seemed worth its weight in gold; everyone refused to give an inch, stepping on the corpses of their opponents and comrades to continue fighting!

Both sides had been fighting for several hours and were still fearless of death!

Yuan Shao frowned as he looked at the battle situation ahead; Liu Bei's troops were only half of his, but the resilience and intensity they displayed were even stronger than his own troops!

Xu You also said in a low voice,

"My lord, Liu Bei only has fifty thousand troops, yet he is evenly matched with our army; the elite nature of his soldiers cannot be ignored!"

Actually, Xu You was still gilding his own side; Yuan Shao's army had suffered much greater casualties than Liu Bei's!

"Report!"

"My lord, Sun Ce's army has been routed by Liu Bei's cavalry! They have now retreated to the vicinity of the camp!"

"What?!"

Yuan Shao was shocked.

"With fifty thousand troops, he actually couldn't stop Liu Bei's twenty thousand cavalry!"

"My lord, Liu Bei dispatched two thousand heavy cavalry; Sun Ce was caught off guard, and the formation was broken!"

"Heavy cavalry?! Liu Bei actually hid so many heavy cavalry!"

"Quick! Have Wen Chou guard against Guan Yu's raid!"

"Understood!"

Liu Bei's side was also observing the battle situation; after learning that Guan Yu had already repelled Sun Ce,

Liu Bei made a prompt decision and dispatched his secret weapon again!

"Order E Huan to move out!"

"Understood!"

Soon, the camp gates opened wide, and five hundred war elephants, under the command of the barbarian soldiers, charged out, roaring as they killed their way toward the flank of Yuan Shao's infantry formation!

Yuan Shao's soldiers had never seen such behemoths and were instantly terrified!

The war elephants had thick skin and flesh, instantly scattering the opponent's formation!

The barbarian archers on the war elephants were also shooting with precision!

The five hundred war elephants were like the last straw that broke the camel's back.

The morale of the attacked Yuan soldiers dropped to the bottom, and they retreated backward!

At this moment, Guan Yu's cavalry also charged over, further increasing the collapse of the Yuan soldiers!

Yuan Shao was dumbfounded.

"It's actually elephant troops; Liu Bei endured until this moment to bring them out, just to play a role at the critical moment; the eared thief is treacherous!"

Yuan Shao drew his sword and roared,

"Today I will fight Liu Bei to the death! No one is allowed to retreat! Those who retreat die!"

Xu You and Guo Tu pulled Yuan Shao and tried their best to persuade him,

"My lord, we cannot fight them head-on right now; if our army retreats to defend the camp, there is still a chance!"

Yuan Shao was actually just putting on a show; half-pushed and half-willing, he got off the chariot, rode a warhorse, and left first!

Soon, the horn for retreat sounded, and the Yuan army cut off its tail to survive.

Wen Chou led the soldiers to resist desperately, allowing the main force to withdraw!

His own ten thousand troops were also gradually eaten away!

Wen Chou himself led his personal guards to fight a bloody path and also retreated!

Yuan Shao's center army was defeated and retreated!

Cao Cao had been paying close attention to the situation here; from the moment he knew Sun Ce was defeated, he knew this battle was over. Before Yuan Shao even retreated, he ordered his men to cover the retreat and withdrew toward the camp!

Gao Shun didn't lead troops to pursue either, beginning to clean up the battlefield and treat the wounded.

In the first great battle between the Allied forces and Liu Bei's army, both sides used their lives, secret weapons appeared one after another, and in the end, Liu Bei could be considered to have won a great victory!
