After transmigrating, Uesugi Muneyuki found everything going wrong. He was kicked out of the promising First Department of Surgery and sent to the most tragic, dead-end, unwelcome, penniless, and low-status department: Forensic Pathology. It seemed his life was destined to end there. But a long-overdue, unnatural blessing finally arrived. Uesugi Muneyuki suddenly discovered that while he couldn't see the living, he could see the dead.

Forensic immortal, god of autopsies, the Metropolitan Police Department’s final line of defense, a national treasure. Suicide, homicide, accidental death. Koban, police station, Metropolitan Police Department. Physician, chief medical officer, distinguished professor. In a Tokyo that was both familiar and strange, in a parallel world that was similar yet different, through one groundbreaking autopsy and dissection after another, Uesugi Muneyuki monopolized the history of forensic medicine. Forensic science was divided into the era before him and the era after him. And those existences lurking on the flip side of the real world gradually revealed themselves as he dug deeper; hidden behind the curtain lay both unspeakable horrors and the truth he had been desperately seeking.

"Quick, go to Tokyo and invite the Great Ancestor Uesugi!" — The Great Mantra of the Police Force.
