Chapter 258: Warehouse
After wandering around the canyon outside the Underground Karst Cave for over an hour, Brawl paced for a while beside the No. 1 Nuclear Reactor, which was currently undergoing testing. It was only when a team of industrial robots carrying and cradling materials passed in front of him that he stopped wandering, turned around, cast an annoyed glance at the short, stout green Decepticon following closely behind him, snorted coldly, and began walking toward the Base again.
His recent encounters had truly put Brawl in a terrible mood.
Ever since that day in Brazil, when he suddenly felt a prying gaze while searching for the 'Matrix of Leadership' for Lord Starscream, and subsequently discovered that unknown Decepticon whose frame was far inferior to his own, Brawl had assumed he had encountered a soft target. He had even prepared to rough him up a bit to subdue him and make that Decepticon his subordinate.
Yet he had never expected that his rash move would ultimately bring him immense trouble; that Decepticon did not look particularly burly, but his combat power was actually superior to his own.
Especially the Plasma Cannon he was equipped with, which had made him suffer greatly.
What shocked Brawl even more was the team of Combat Robots the opponent had suddenly summoned from out of nowhere.
Those strange combat machines, which were clearly different from Decepticons, were each equipped with a Plasma Weapon.
One had to know, such equipment was only configured for a few of the stronger warriors, even among the Newborn Decepticons personally cultivated by Lord Starscream.
As for him, he was far inferior to several Newborn Decepticons born in the same batch, so he was only equipped with a few melee weapons for close-quarters combat.
The result was predictable: Brawl lost, and he lost miserably.
He was forced to pledge loyalty to the Decepticon who called himself 'Frenzy', and the opponent even left some control measures within his Core.
Afterward, he was brought here by Frenzy.
The opponent clearly did not trust his surrender. Ever since Brawl was brought here, not only were his movements restricted, but Frenzy even dispatched this low-level Decepticon Warrior under his command named 'Frenzy' to keep a close watch on him.
Over the past period of time, it was not as if Brawl had not considered escaping.
But facing Frenzy, who was also equipped with a Plasma Weapon, along with several other Combat Robots, he had no confidence that he could take them down in an instant.
And if he could not take the opponent down in an instant, relying on the control measures Frenzy had left in his Core, it would be nothing more than a thought for the opponent to take his life.
It was not as if Brawl had not tried to initiate long-range communication to the Moon to have Starscream send someone to rescue him.
On the very day he was brought to the Base, he had tried once while the opponent was off guard.
Unfortunately, Brawl had underestimated the control measures Frenzy had left behind.
That attempt not only failed to send the communication out, but it also triggered the monitoring measures the opponent had left inside his body.
Since then, Frenzy had followed him almost twenty-four hours a day, making him completely a prisoner of the other party.
The orange light in his eyes dimmed slightly, but when he walked back to the entrance of the Base where he was currently staying, he cast a deep look into the artificially trimmed cave entrance before him, and his restless heart could not help but harbor a bit more doubt and curiosity.
Who was Frenzy?
Since he also belonged to the Decepticons, why had he never seen him at the Moon Base?
How could the opponent possess so many Plasma Weapons, and why had he established an unknown Base on Earth?
These doubts had never dissipated from his mind since he was brought here.
Although he could not leave the Base too far, other than a few areas, the rest of the Base was not off-limits to Brawl.
Because of this, he had been able to tour the entire Base over the past few days.
It was precisely these experiences that caused the restlessness in his heart to begin to rise.
"Damn it, what exactly is this guy Frenzy trying to do here?"
This was a massive Base. Although in terms of structure, the opponent had built the Base by relying on a naturally formed Underground Karst Cave, in terms of the area within the Base, it already exceeded the Moon Base where Brawl was born by several times over.
Moreover, the scale of the Base was still constantly expanding.
Hundreds of machines referred to by the opponent as 'industrial robots' were constantly working underground, excavating deeper into the ground and the mountain.
At the same time, the expansion had also begun to spread into the Canyon.
In a very short time, countless buildings had emerged in the Canyon within dozens of kilometers around the Base: there were workshops for manufacturing those industrial robots and Combat Robots, factories for synthesizing metal, hydroelectric and even thermonuclear power facilities, and even on some mountain peaks, dense defensive facilities had already begun construction.
Although in terms of equipment, this place was far inferior to the Moon, Brawl no longer dared to underestimate this place and Frenzy.
In his view, that Decepticon who called himself Frenzy, although his strength was far inferior to his master Starscream, his ambition was not a bit smaller than Starscream's; he was likewise an extremely dangerous character!
Unknowingly, he had walked deep into the Base.
When he arrived near the Warehouse, Brawl glanced at the Warehouse not far away, and the orange light in his eyes flickered involuntarily.
A team of industrial robots was working intensely in front of the Warehouse; they were installing a thick door for the Warehouse—to be precise, it was a specially made lead door.
Lead, a metal, was not only relatively common on Earth, but it also had significant reserves in the universe; this heavy metal was an excellent radiation-shielding material.
Three days ago, the Warehouse area had started to become busy.
Teams of industrial robots constantly moved in and out, large quantities of equipment and materials were transported in and out, and not long after, a lead door was suddenly added here, which immediately made Brawl, who had already noticed this place, suspicious.
"Frenzy shouldn't be in his Laboratory, but in the Warehouse... but what exactly is he doing inside the Warehouse?"
In his heart, these doubts kept popping up, feeling like a cat scratching, making him unable to help but stop, wanting nothing more than to look inside.
Unfortunately, the Warehouse and Sun Cheng's Laboratory were both key protected areas within the Base; usually, even Frenzy and the others could not enter at will without permission, and for Brawl, it was even more of a forbidden zone.
Frenzy soon discovered his abnormality, glanced at him, and followed Brawl's line of sight toward the Warehouse; a look of mockery could not help but appear on his face.
"... What are you looking at? Let's go. That is not a place you can enter..."
After saying this, the several Combat Robots behind him stepped forward in unison with him, their gun barrels slightly raised.
Seeing this, Brawl felt secretly annoyed.
He swept a cold gaze at Frenzy, his killing intent fully exposed in his eyes.
Fortunately, he still remembered what kind of place this was, and in the end, he suppressed the surging killing intent in his heart; Brawl snorted coldly and turned his head to walk toward his living quarters.
He did not see, however, that just after he turned around, Frenzy suddenly turned his head to look in the direction of the Warehouse, the mockery in his eyes having completely faded, replaced by a look called 'anticipation'!
