Chapter 65: 63 The Catalyst to Manipulate Aizen Makoto
Upon arriving at the video location where the monster appeared, Emi got out to investigate, while Qi Ming stayed in the car, pondering Aizen Makoto’s behavior in “Luo Bu.”
He’s a… severe case of delusional disorder.
He only imitated the surface of the Ultra Warriors, never grasping their core.
So in the original series, he told the Minato brothers this classic line—“You have no resolve, no experience of hardship, yet because you were chosen, you selfishly play this game called Ultraman!”
In truth, the one truly playing a game is he—who unleashed monsters to destroy others’ homes and turned their suffering into stepping stones for his own heroism.
In the original series, he relentlessly pressured and bribed the Minato brothers to monopolize the title of hero and Ultra Warrior; left unchecked, he’ll inevitably come after me.
A potential enemy?
No—I might turn this weakness into an advantage, flip the roles of attacker and defender.
After all, Aizen Makoto subjectively wants to be a hero; he’s just an irresponsible, infantile brute in expression.
He’s a bit like Marvel’s White Canister Iron Man—addicted to the thrill of being a hero, even when that honor and victory is entirely self-fabricated.
I could try to correct his distortion, redirect his goodwill to the right place.
But I must still hold something back—I must not reveal my identity, must keep some distance to avoid backlash.
Qi Ming sat in the car for a long time, his furrowed brows gradually relaxing.
He had an idea.
When Emi returned, she noticed Qi Ming’s relaxed demeanor during the subsequent investigation and unconsciously felt reassured.
“Should we go meet Aizen Makoto?” As the car pulled up beneath Aizen Tech’s building, Emi asked.
Qi Ming: “Not yet. We need to wait for the right ‘opportunity.’”
…………………………
Three days later, Oulongdao.
This is a small island formed by an undersea volcanic eruption; from high above, it resembles a giant turtle.
Many years ago, two ancient turtle eggs buried deep underground, shaken loose by an earthquake, burst forth from a weaker point in the earth’s crust and were freed.
After hatching, the two turtles grew to enormous size.
Residents of nearby islands called these two ancient turtles “Turtle King” and “Turtle Queen.”
They drifted peacefully in the waters around Oulongdao, maintaining friendly, non-interfering relations with local inhabitants.
Recently, a Japanese man named Hei Qi learned of this and formed a capture team to seize the giant turtles alive.
They timed their strike for the moment the Turtle Queen would come ashore to lay her eggs.
That night, under a bright moon, the Turtle Queen dug a hole in the sand and gave birth with great pain, tears of blood streaming down her face.
Seeing it was nearly done, Hei Qi signaled his team to prepare to act.
He walked toward the Turtle Queen with his deputy and warned, “A laying turtle is docile—get as close as possible.”
At that moment, the Turtle Queen let out a mournful wail, startling Hei Qi’s deputy.
Hei Qi: “What’s wrong?”
Deputy: “She’s begging us to spare her.”
Hei Qi roared: “Damn fool! We’ve waited months for this! She’s just an animal—shoot!”
The deputy fired—a massive, needle-tipped anesthetic dart pierced the Turtle Queen’s neck.
Struck at a vital point, the Turtle Queen let out a cry of agony, but after giving birth, she was too weak to fight back.
She endured the agony, buried her eggs under sand, then struggled toward the sea.
“Turn on the lights!” Hei Qi shouted. The capture team aimed powerful spotlights directly at the Turtle Queen’s eyes.
Blinded by the sudden glare, the Turtle Queen panicked further; the anesthetic took effect, leaving her limp.
Hei Qi rejoiced: “Quick, cast the net—now!”
The other team members obeyed instantly—they were veterans of this trade, scoffing at notions of “all things possessing spirit,” dismissing the creature as mere beast.
“Crack!” A heavy net shot out, smothering the Turtle Queen; she convulsed in agony, but after giving birth, she was utterly powerless to break free.
“Splash!” The water broke open—a far larger turtle emerged: the Turtle King!
Hei Qi was not alarmed—he was delighted: “The Turtle King! Capture this one too!”
Another massive anesthetic dart fired, striking the Turtle King’s neck; he too writhed in pain.
The capture team cast another net, but the Turtle King, using his immense size and strength, tore free barely in time.
The anesthetic fully took hold—the Turtle Queen was immobilized; the Turtle King gradually lost sensation in his limbs and body, unable to tear open his mate’s net.
At dawn, the capture team dug up the eggs the Turtle Queen had just laid.
Due to the attack, the Turtle Queen had buried her eggs too forcefully—one cracked—but the other four remained intact.
Hei Qi was thoroughly satisfied with the haul. He and his team boarded the chartered supertanker and towed the Turtle Queen back to Japan.
“Cheers!” That night, Hei Qi repeatedly toasted with the captain and first mate.
Curious, the captain asked what he intended to do with such a massive monster back in Japan.
Hei Qi: “I’m planning a monster exhibition. Just displaying it will draw crowds from all over Japan—and the world. After training, it can even perform.”
Captain: “I see. Then you’ll become a billionaire.”
Hei Qi waved it off modestly, but his smug grin betrayed him.
“Hope so. Come on, everyone—drink up! Today’s the happiest day!”
At that moment, his deputy brought over a soup made from the turtle eggs:
“Gentlemen, this delicacy doesn’t exist on any menu in the world—not for any price.”
“Come, enjoy it while it’s hot!”
After drinking, the capture team and crew all felt refreshed, declaring it the most exquisite dish they’d ever tasted.
Towed behind the ship, the Turtle Queen’s eyes glowed red and bright—she had seen it all.
Her unborn children had been eaten by these humans!
Filled with rage, she thrashed violently, throwing the ship’s cabin into chaos, everyone screaming in panic.
“How is this possible? Did the anesthetic fail?”
“She shouldn’t have moved for three days!”
…………………………
“Captain, a Japanese cargo ship named ‘Fourth Sakura Maru’ was attacked by a giant turtle, location 6 kilometers southeast of Shenjindao.”
At Victory Team’s base, Emi immediately received the report.
“What!” Qi Ming asked sharply for details.
Oulongdao, Turtle King and Turtle Queen, egg-laying, captured by humans.
These are the giant turtle monsters Totas King and Totas Queen from episodes four and five of “Ultraman Taro”: “Giant Turtle Monster Attacks Tokyo” and “Parent-Child Star, the Brightest Star.”
“Perfect opportunity—I can not only prevent the tragedy of the original plot, but also use this chance to manipulate Aizen Makoto. I must seize it.” Qi Ming thought to himself.
