Chapter 66: 64. The Refreshing Aggression (Requesting Follows!)

~6 min read 1,080 words

Because Nami Nishijo still did not accept “coexistence with kaiju,” Zhu Xingtuan replaced her once again.

Zhu Xingtuan, Qi Ming, Yamaguchi, and Kishida piloted Flyer No. 2 toward the distressed Fourth Sakura Maru.

When they arrived, the enraged female turtle was about to capsize the cargo ship; the crew screamed in terror, with no escape in the vast ocean.

“It seems no one is in immediate danger—let’s just watch,” Qi Ming suggested they all [OMO].

Zhu Xingtuan would never do such a thing: “How can we stand by and let people die? Yamaguchi, cut the chains linking the ship to the giant turtle.”

“Watch me,” Yamaguchi aimed and fired; Flyer No. 2 shot two laser beams, severing the chains.

“Ploosh!” The water split open as an even larger turtle king emerged, biting through the net and freeing the female turtle.

“No!” Black Qi watched his prey escape into the deep sea and let out a heart-wrenching scream.

After the ship docked at the nearby Shenjindao, Black Qi immediately vented his fury on the Shengli Team members.

…………………………

“What business is it of yours to meddle!” Black Qi ’s face flushed red: “Did anyone ask you to fire lasers?!”

“What are you talking about?” Yamaguchi and Kishida froze.

Qi Ming watched coldly from the side—his gaze was that of someone looking at dead men.

“We spent two years and one hundred million yen to capture that giant turtle—how are you going to compensate us?!” Black Qi stormed forward to demand reparation.

“You’re ungrateful!” This attitude enraged Yamaguchi and Kishida.

Qi Ming spoke slowly:

“Compensate? How about we toast you with champagne for getting what you deserve?”

“You invaded the giant turtles’ territory out of greed—what you’ve suffered is still far too little in my eyes.”

Black Qi ’s deputy also snapped: “What did you say?!”

Seeing Qi Ming speak, Yamaguchi and Kishida immediately stepped back in silent understanding, leaving the stage to the professional.

Zhu Xingtuan wished to avoid escalation: “Let’s all calm down. We responded to the ship’s SOS signal—everyone is safe now. Shouldn’t we be glad?”

The captain stepped forward: “On behalf of all crew members, I thank the Shengli Team. Thanks to you, both people and ship returned safely.”

Black Qi ’s deputy clearly resented this:

“Isn’t capturing kaiju perfectly justified?”

“Once these giant turtles give birth to equally massive offspring, their strength will grow—and they’ll inevitably attack humans.”

“Mr. Black Qi is preventing such a crisis. That’s what humans must do!”

Qi Ming glanced at him sideways and shook his head: “It seems too much flattery leads to inhaling fungal spores, which stunts brain development—hence your dark, narrow view, your biased thinking, and the sweet fragrance you yourself smell from all the kissing you’ve done.”

Yamaguchi and Kishida couldn’t help but inhale sharply—when standing beside Qi Ming, this kind of aggression was truly invigorating.

“You bastard, what kind of attitude is that?!” The capture team erupted in fury.

“I’ve been too kind to you. I’ve given you too much face.”

Qi Ming slapped Black Qi ’s assistant, sending him spinning like a top before he collapsed unconscious.

“Shengli Team member hit someone!” Black Qi cried in horror.

“Did I hit a person? Doesn’t look like it.” Qi Ming swung another slap—so powerful it slammed Black Qi into the wall.

The other capture team members, seeing their boss beaten, panicked—no boss meant no paychecks—and rushed at Qi Ming.

Kishida felt he couldn’t let Qi Ming fight alone and reached for his gun to warn them off.

Zhu Xingtuan grabbed his arm: “Don’t act rashly!”

Physical conflict could still be excused as “Shengli Team members mingling with civilians”—but firing a gun would be a major incident.

Yamaguchi: “In this situation, Qi Ming can handle it easily.”

Qi Ming picked up a wooden baseball bat and swung it at six blows per second, sending capture team members screaming in pain.

The captain and crew watched in stunned silence, stepping back in unison—as if distancing themselves from the capture team.

At that moment, the first mate began scratching; this behavior spread like a virus, infecting every crew member.

Yamaguchi: “What’s going on?”

The captain: “Who knows? We drank turtle egg soup—and now we’re all itchy.”

Zhu Xingtuan stepped forward to examine them: “This is urticaria—a turtle-shell-patterned urticaria is rare indeed.”

Yamaguchi: “The unconscious Black Qi and his men have it too.”

Knowledgeable Kishida pondered: “Perhaps the female turtle is cursing them.”

One crew member trembled: “Cursing?”

Kishida: “Yes. Turtles hold deep grudges—didn’t you hear the saying that a turtle won’t release its bite until thunder strikes? And ‘turtles live ten thousand years’—this resentment may take ten thousand years to fade.”

Many crew members grew terrified—they could barely endure the itching now; if it lasted a lifetime, what then?

“Absurd nonsense! Don’t listen to him!” Black Qi , now awake, clutched his face.

“You’ll soon find out if it’s true.” Qi Ming casually tossed the baseball bat onto Black Qi ’s head, sending him screaming back into unconsciousness.

He then walked to the inn’s balcony; Kishida and Zhu Xingtuan followed.

Kishida hesitated: “Was today’s incident too much? Shengli Team members attacking civilians—what if this gets out?”

Qi Ming replied offhandedly: “A hundred excuses exist. Say we suspected the capture team were disguised hyper-beasts who felt no pain, so we tested them.”

“We discovered they do feel pain—proving none were hyper-beasts.”

Kishida: “?”

Zhu Xingtuan looked at the fallen capture team: “This really went too far.”

Qi Ming sneered: “Too far? Just a little pain—it’s only just begun.”

“The urticaria they developed is the giant turtle’s curse. The two giants will use it to sense the locations of those who ate their young—and eliminate them one by one.”

“Perfect. A warning to the world: some things must not be done—and this is the consequence.”

Kishida and Zhu Xingtuan were stunned. Though Caiwen loved humanity, he couldn’t bear to let lives be lost—he asked Qi Ming if there was any way to save them.

Qi Ming: “The capture team must die—they must answer for this. The captain and crew didn’t directly attack the turtles—they still have a chance to live.”

He summoned the captain and first mate, explained the situation, and their faces turned pale.

The captain hurriedly asked: “If the turtles come to kill us, won’t the Shengli Team protect us?”
