Chapter 69: 67 Do Not Say I Did Not Warn You

~6 min read 1,071 words

After adding Aizen Makoto’s Line, Qi Ming returned to the TPC maritime base to seek out Kenzo Sanbo.

For ordinary personnel, it would naturally be difficult to meet a high-ranking official like a Sanbo.

But Kenzo was eager to cultivate closer ties with Qi Ming, hoping to recruit him.

“Sanbo, humans have tamed wolves into dogs, turning them into loyal companions.”

“Would you be willing to make history by attempting what even Ultraman could not achieve—becoming the first person to ‘tame’ kaiju?”

Qi Ming understood everyone’s “needs” perfectly, so he catered to them.

Aizen Makoto craved flowers and applause, while Sanbo desired humanity’s continuous advancement, mastery of greater power, and deeper exploration.

Sanbo was deeply moved by his words.

In Qi Ming’s description, this approach would not only avoid unnecessary battles but also reassure residents near kaiju habitats, greatly reducing TPC’s defense burden.

To allay public concerns, the public could be told it was a “Kaiju Prison.”

Over time, it might become a “Taming Base,” where kaiju could serve humanity.

Sanbo: “Paperwork isn’t an issue, but housing so many kaiju requires vast land, substantial funding, and manpower.”

“This isn’t raising lions or tigers—how many people would dare stay near a kaiju?”

Qi Ming: “No problem. Aizen Makoto, CEO of Aizen Tech, has already offered to provide all personnel and resources.”

…………………………

Upon hearing Qi Ming had secured policy approval, Aizen Makoto was ecstatic, ready to unleash his grand vision.

Aizen Makoto: “My love and kindness are limitless! I can accommodate any number of kaiju—I need a larger island.”

Qi Ming: “I think the Kibari Islands would be perfect. Let’s choose them.”

Aizen Makoto: “Perfect! I’ll buy them right away!”

This “heroic identity” perfectly matched Aizen Makoto’s tastes and needs, driving him to operate at 1000% efficiency—he completed it in just two days.

That’s the Aizen Speed!

Now the kaiju reserve had its location, equipment was being installed, and personnel were assembled—but something was still missing.

Oh, right—kaiju.

Qi Ming told Aizen Makoto about the giant turtle on Oulongdao; the latter’s eyes immediately lit up.

Aizen Makoto: “If the hatchlings emerge, they’ll be life born in the ‘New World’—profoundly meaningful!”

Qi Ming: “Exactly. We’ll transport the giant turtle there with the Victory Team.”

But it might be delayed a few days, since Kishida and Yamana are chasing the Light Virus in Fly Yan No. 1.

“No way… this isn’t a coincidence!” Yamana’s voice crackled over the comms.

Nagi Nishijo: “Report your situation immediately.”

Kishida: “We found the Light Virus—its path leads directly to Oulongdao.”

Upon hearing this, Qi Ming shot to his feet.

The Light Virus likely targeted the two gentle giant turtles, intending to possess them!

“Captain, let’s go!” Qi Ming said at once.

Moroboshi Dan nodded, piloting another Fly Yan No. 1 to bring Qi Ming to Oulongdao.

The sun was setting; the Turtle King and Queen had emerged from their grief and resumed their usual playfulness, frolicking around their eggs on the beach.

“All creatures vie for freedom under the frosty sky,” Qi Ming mused, watching the scene, then began strategizing.

“What if I transform into Melba, snatch the eggs, and fly straight to the Kibari Islands?”

“The Turtle King and Queen will surely chase after their young—then we can lure them there.”

“But the Kibari Islands currently have no defenses against the Light Virus—changing location seems pointless.”

“Or should I transform now and fly to the Moon, using my ‘Efficiency III’ Diamond Pickaxe to mine some Soag Stone?”

“But the Moon is vast—where exactly are these ores buried?”

Qi Ming was stumped; struggling against chaotic viruses was naturally difficult.

In the original Gaus series, the Chaos Virus was nearly invincible.

Only one kaiju, [Masargas], and Soag Stone on the Moon could restrain it.

But the former was killed by the Defense Force at the Chaos Virus’s behest, and the latter was entirely destroyed by the Chaos Head.

No wonder Musashi had considered the idea of “not fighting the Chaos Head, but making peace with it.”

Because it simply couldn’t be killed—only coexisted with.

In this world, Masargas was currently missing, and information on Soag Stone awaited a reply from He Zhi, the Sanbo overseeing space development.

“Hummm…” At that moment, movement stirred from the ocean.

“Is the Chaos Virus here? No—it’s them.” Qi Ming’s gaze sharpened.

Eight warships lined up in a row at the horizon, advancing steadily toward Oulongdao.

It was the Defense Force’s fleet!

“They’ve come after all…”

Seeing the cannons on the warships raise and aim at the two giant turtles, Moroboshi Dan immediately broadcast through Fly Yan No. 1: “What are you doing? Stop!”

Seeing TPC fighters blocking their path, the soldiers hesitated, unwilling to fire recklessly.

Though both the Defense Force and TPC knew they would eventually fight to the death, under the constant threat of external enemies, neither dared to fire the first shot.

The warship commander immediately reported the incident to Smith, who directly contacted Moroboshi Dan.

A middle-aged Caucasian face appeared on Fly Yan No. 1’s screen: “You’re Captain Moroboshi Dan, correct? What’s going on?”

Moroboshi Dan: “TPC has recently established a kaiju reserve. These two giant turtles have been selected and will soon be relocated.”

Smith: “Reserve? These two kaiju killed people—do you still want to protect them?”

Moroboshi Dan: “There’s a reason. Those people harmed them first and ate their young.”

Smith chuckled.

“So you call this self-defense? Kaiju have no human rights.”

“Is TPC insane? Protecting kaiju—what kind of humans are you?”

Negotiations collapsed. Ignoring Moroboshi Dan’s pleas, Smith insisted on destroying the two kaiju to “uphold human dignity” and claim military glory.

“Enough! This is my jurisdiction!”

Qi Ming leaned close to the camera: “Old man, do you not know ‘those who commit many injustices will inevitably destroy themselves’ by defying nature?”

Smith frowned: “Who are you? How dare you speak to me like that?”

“Nature? Humanity reached today by conquering nature—what do I have to fear?”

Qi Ming: “Fine. Captain, you’ve seen it—don’t say I didn’t warn him.”

He severed the communication. On the other end, the eight warships raised their cannons again, aiming at the two giant turtles on Oulongdao.

Qi Ming asked: “Captain, can Fly Yan No. 1 sink these eight warships?”

Moroboshi Dan gasped: “What are you talking about? Sink warships?”

Qi Ming: “They’ve come to our doorstep—what are we waiting for? I’ll take full responsibility for all consequences!”
