Chapter 87: 84 Gaia: This Time, We Really Must Destroy the Earth (Request Follows!)

~6 min read 1,050 words

After receiving the news, Emi and Koizumi Chidori saw a deep melancholy in Qi Ming’s eyes.

He let out a long sigh, a feeling called “soul-weary” surfacing on his handsome face.

“Qi Ming, are you alright…?” Emi thought this was truly torturous—most people would’ve quit long ago.

After several deep breaths, Qi Ming regained his composure.

He looked around: “Even after obtaining the notebook, Bok King still hasn’t shown up. We need to turn up the heat.”

“When I tear down the underground city and watch his long-planned conspiracy collapse before his eyes, I wonder if he’ll still be able to keep his cool.”

He got back in the vehicle and headed toward the underground city.

After receiving Daoyuan ’s assurance, President Hanabishi reactivated the PW wave emission device.

But unsettling earthquakes followed, leaving the staff anxious.

“I think it might be simple!” President Hanabishi took charge himself.

“Monsters hate PW waves, right? Then I’ll crank it to maximum power and drive it away!”

………………………………

Meanwhile, deep underground, Delos.

“Humanity’s breakthrough speed has increased—they’re getting closer. Are they preparing for total war?”

“They’re drawing nearer, pressing harder and harder.”

“No choice—we must activate the Bassaku System.”

“Wait, there might be a turn…”

…………………………

“Bang!” Qi Ming kicked open the door, face dark.

“It’s you—what are you doing here!” President Hanabishi shouted, voice hollow with fear—he hadn’t expected Qi Ming to dare return.

“I’m here to shut down this band.”

Following Emi’s instructions, Qi Ming shut off all PW wave emitters.

During this, the guards merely shielded President Hanabishi, not daring to lift a finger.

They were beaten into submission.

Seeing the machines stop emitting PW waves, Qi Ming exhaled in relief.

It was time to settle accounts.

He stepped toward President Hanabishi, grabbed his head, and shook it violently: “Is there air between your two ears? Why doesn’t your company’s janitor sweep up this human trash while cleaning?”

President Hanabishi felt his brain sloshing around, tinnitus instantly flooding his skull.

Is Japan’s capitalist heaven changing? Why can’t I see even a shred of respect for my wealth?

A group of guards watched helplessly between them, too terrified to approach—afraid they’d end up in the morgue.

The next moment, the building began to shake.

Emi’s face paled: “What’s happening? We turned it off already!”

The next instant, a monster with a lumpy head and a gaping maw erupted from the ground.

It was Dailagern from *Ultraman Dyna*!

Qi Ming, however, exhaled in relief—it wasn’t the Million Bassaku.

He triggered the alarm and broadcasted an evacuation notice:

“Everyone, your president has summoned a monster using his genius wisdom to help dig the pit.”

“If you don’t want your remaining value turned into nutritional value, I suggest you run.”

Nearby, President Hanabishi’s female secretary couldn’t help speaking up:

“As a member of the Victory Team, shouldn’t you be eliminating the monster? Daoyuan ’s promise was clear. Aren’t you just too scared to face the monster, and only brave enough to bully ordinary people like us?”

Qi Ming glanced at President Hanabishi: “Don’t insult ordinary people. Their brain matter doesn’t flow out through their urethra.”

No wonder the PW waves restarted—it was him guaranteeing it.

Due to Dailagern’s rampage, the building was on the verge of collapse. Emi said: “Qi Ming, I’ll evacuate the others. You handle this.”

Qi Ming: “No problem.”

“Boom!” Dailagern went berserk, destroying everything around it—the entire building shook violently.

“No, my dream! Why has it come to this!” President Hanabishi cried out.

The next instant, a strange ultrasonic frequency emanated from an unknown source, knocking everyone unconscious.

A giant humanoid figure with two antennae on its head and a white mask emerged from the ground.

It was Bok King, the subterranean ruler!

It unleashed a furious barrage of blows on Dailagern, trying to drive it away before it ruined his plans.

“Finally, all here. Doesn’t matter—I kill both the same way.” Qi Ming spun the dial.

He glanced at President Hanabishi and the female secretary beside him—both had gone mad from Bok King’s ultrasonic interference, now bashing their heads against the wall.

“Gaia!” Qi Ming slammed the dial—each transformation made him shout it instinctively.

“Shhh!” A red glow flashed—Ultraman Gaia appeared!

“Hm?” Bok King hesitated slightly upon seeing Gaia.

He knew trouble had arrived.

“Look! A giant!”

“It’s Ultraman—he’s come to save us!”

Workers who had fled the construction site with Emi shouted in awe.

Qi Ming nodded once he confirmed everyone had evacuated—he could now fight without restraint.

At that moment, Gaia’s right hand held President Hanabishi and the secretary. Qi Ming moved to the other side of the battlefield and dropped them carelessly.

Then he soared into the air, charging toward the battlefield with murderous intent.

“Ow! Couldn’t this giant just gently place me on the ground?” President Hanabishi groaned, rubbing his buttocks as he woke up.

Still, seeing Gaia charge toward Dailagern and Bok King on the site, he felt slightly better.

Though this Ultraman was a bit reckless, at least he was willing to fight the monster and protect the underground city under construction.

Wait—why is he flying so high?

Your entry style is a bit… damn it!

Gaia soared into the sky, gathering energy into his legs, then plummeted at incredible speed toward the battling Bok King and Dailagern.

Thousand-Pound Drop!

Sensing the terrifying force of the strike, Bok King turned and fled, leaving Dailagern behind.

“Boom!” Gaia’s crimson right leg, wrapped in energy, slammed straight into Dailagern’s head.

A powerful shockwave swept across the entire construction site, flipping over delivery trucks, sending dust soaring a hundred meters high, and collapsing every precious device and facility.

This was the true Destroyer of the Earth!

“Another earthquake? So strong—what’s going on?”

“I saw it—that was Ultraman’s doing!”

“No wonder Ultraman warriors are superior to monsters! To feel this tremor firsthand—even death is worth the ticket!”

Bystanders marveled, while President Hanabishi let out a desperate cry: “No!”

His life’s work, his dream, the expensive equipment he’d bought—all gone in an instant as Gaia landed.

“No!” At the same time, Daoyuan in TPC headquarters stared in shock, his mind reeling, numb with disbelief.

He’d just assured President Hanabishi the construction would proceed normally—and now this… who could have foreseen such a turn of events!
