Chapter 464: Let's Go Home
"I have a proposal: let me take care of her for a few days, but you all disagreed." Chen Yu shook his head and said, "Since that's the case, then I have no other way."
"Chen Yu, don't be like this." Heihu's expression was somewhat awkward: "After all, you are not a person of our Dragon Breath, so there are some things you need to avoid suspicion about."
"Then that is your business; finding me is useless." Chen Yu said: "She knows about the password; it just depends on whether you have a way to make her speak."
"She doesn't trust anyone except you." Heihu said: "This is the only sentence she has said in the past few days, yesterday."
"Hmm, so you thought of me again?" Chen Yu glanced at Heihu and said: "Honestly, you people, you greet with a smiling face when you need someone, and kick them away after you're done using them."
"Who do you think I am? A rag? To be summoned when needed and discarded when not?"
"No, Chen Yu, this really wasn't my intention. I also tried my best to request to my superiors that you participate in this matter, but the superiors denied it." Heihu said speechlessly.
"So what is the purpose of you coming today?" Chen Yu asked.
"To take care of Bai Muyu. She is also a strategic figure for us. If her health collapses, it will be a huge loss for us." Heihu said: "Additionally, we need to know the server password."
"Are there any benefits?" Chen Yu smiled faintly.
"Chen Yu, this is for the national interest; how can you only think about benefits?" Heihu was speechless.
"The national interest is to kick me away after using me up?" Chen Yu sneered: "I have already helped you once as a duty; it's not that I can't help you again, but I want to state my conditions."
"Speak." Heihu nodded solemnly.
"First, take her out of the heavily guarded sanatorium. Of course, I guarantee her safety." Chen Yu said.
"That's fine. What else?" Heihu said again.
"I will talk to her properly, but the premise is that no idiot from your Dragon Breath can come out and point fingers at us." Chen Yu added.
"This is also no problem." Heihu nodded again: "Is there anything else?"
"Third, I want all the information on that Saint who killed Bai Doctor, preferably knowing his current location. Additionally, I want all the information on that person from the Witch Clan named Wuming." Chen Yu said faintly.
"Chen Yu, are you planning to take action?" Heihu was slightly stunned, then he shook his head and said: "I'm afraid that won't do. Their whereabouts are all confidential. We will take action to deal with them when necessary."
"But I can't wait; your speed is too slow." Chen Yu shook his head and said: "There is only one way to open Muyu's heart: that is to twist off that Saint's head."
Heihu fell into Silence. After a long while, he nodded firmly and said: "Fine, no problem. I agree to all these conditions. Do you have any other conditions?"
"Not for now." Chen Yu said: "I want all your intelligence, and I want it fast."
"I will send the data to you immediately, but you must guarantee two points: one, ensure her safety; two, ensure the server password is obtained." Heihu nodded.
"That's no problem. I have another doubt: after such a big incident, Bai Doctor's current wife hasn't even shown her face. I want to know what her identity is." Chen Yu asked.
"You mean Yu Jing?" Heihu took a deep breath and said: "A foreign spy. She has been lurking by Bai Doctor's side all these years. The reason the overseas forces were able to find Bai Doctor so accurately is entirely her credit."
"You guys are really useless. This woman obviously has problems, yet you knew nothing?" Chen Yu glanced at Heihu; he felt that this group of people led by Heihu was truly hopeless.
Although he didn't deal with Yu Jing much, Chen Yu clearly felt that this woman had problems. Heihu and his group were specifically trained for this, yet they didn't notice?
"This can't be blamed on us either. We also suspected her, but no matter how we checked, her identity had no issues." Heihu's expression was awkward: "We have also been keeping an eye on her, but she hid it really too well."
"Alright, stop the nonsense. I'm going to the sanatorium now to bring her back." Chen Yu stood up.
"I'm sorry to trouble you." Heihu bowed slightly to Chen Yu.
In a villa heavily guarded within the sanatorium, Bai Muyu sat blankly in the living room, her breakfast, which had long since gone cold, placed beside her.
The nurse responsible for her daily life glanced at the breakfast in front of her, then sighed slightly and took the breakfast away.
Bai Muyu hadn't had a drop of water or a grain of food for several days. She had become much thinner, and her eye sockets were deeply sunken; she was already on the verge of collapse.
"Miss Bai, you must eat something, otherwise I really don't know how to answer to my superiors." The nurse returned and served a new meal.
Bai Muyu stared blankly out the window, as if she hadn't heard the nurse's words at all.
"Let me do it." Chen Yu took the items from the nurse's hands.
The nurse was startled, but Heihu behind her beckoned to her, and she nodded and retreated.
"How can you not eat anything?" Chen Yu felt a pang of heartache seeing her like this now.
He put down the meal in his hand and sat down in front of Bai Muyu.
"Chen Yu, you're here." Seeing Chen Yu, a glimmer of light finally appeared in Bai Muyu's eyes.
"Hmm, I should have come earlier, but you also know that your current status is special; it's difficult for me to see you." Chen Yu smiled slightly.
"I don't want to stay here." Bai Muyu shed tears blankly: "I want to go home."
"Alright, eat this food, and I will accompany you home right now." Chen Yu said.
Bai Muyu nodded. Chen Yu picked up a bowl of porridge, took a spoon, carefully blew on it until it was at the right temperature, and brought it to her lips.
Bai Muyu tasted a small bite, then took the bowl from Chen Yu's hand and ate it in large mouthfuls.
Seeing all this, Heihu finally felt at ease. If he had known this, he should have invited Chen Yu earlier.
After finishing the meal, Chen Yu accompanied Bai Muyu back home.
The house had been cleaned up, but it was empty, missing a few people.
Bai Muyu wiped her father's portrait, then set it in place.
Looking at the familiar person in the photo, large tears fell from her eyes.
"Muyu, please accept my condolences." Chen Yu sighed slightly; he really didn't know how to comfort Bai Muyu well, after all, Bai Zhan was her only relative.
"Chen Yu, I feel like I have nothing left." Bai Muyu threw herself into Chen Yu's arms and wept bitterly.
"You still have me. Don't worry, no matter what happens in the future, I will stand behind you and support you." Chen Yu stroked her long hair: "I will also take good care of you so that your father can rest in peace on the other side."
"Really?" Bai Muyu looked up: "Chen Yu, are you pitying me? Are you saying this because you pity me?"
"No." Chen Yu shook his head and laughed: "What are you thinking? Pull yourself together; your father's unfinished work still needs you to take over."
"I think if his spirit is in heaven, he wouldn't want to see you like this."
"I know, I should pull myself together." Bai Muyu wiped away her tears: "My dad said that all his life's work is stored on the server, and the server password is saved on a USB drive. We must find the USB drive."
"Hmm, I'll accompany you to look for it." Chen Yu nodded.
The two went to Bai Zhan's bedroom. This place had already been searched once; it was clear that after the incident, the people from Dragon Breath had arrived here immediately.
Although everything had been placed back neatly, the traces of being rummaged through were still very obvious.
"They have been here," Chen Yu said, his brows furrowing.
"Was the USB drive taken?" Bai Muyu was startled.
"No. If they had found the USB drive, they would have sent you directly to Shengjing; it would have been impossible for me to meet with you," Chen Yu shook his head.
"Then let's look again," Bai Muyu said, and began rummaging through things.
"You have to believe that with the professional standards of those people, even if you hid a needle, they would dig it out," Chen Yu said. "If they didn't find it here, it will be even harder for us to find."
"Then what should we do?" Bai Muyu looked at everything in the room, and she said with some confusion, "When my father was on his deathbed, he explicitly told me that the item was hidden right here."
"Then think carefully, where is the most likely place he would have hidden this thing?" Chen Yu asked. "You are father and daughter; there should be a meeting of minds between you."
