Chapter 13: Genetic Awakening
Ninglu's entire body crackled and popped, his frame stretching and growing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
In the span of a single breath, the steel armor on his body was burst open, only able to cover his vital physiological areas.
In an instant, his stature became as tall as an adult's, yet far more robust.
The growth continued, and at the same time, a torrent of information surged into Ninglu's mind like a tsunami.
Within the vast ocean, the information of the "Barbarian" was like a river flowing into the sea.
What surged like an ocean was the knowledge within his genes, different from the last time.
The knowledge in this ocean was not limited to the weaknesses of various races and machines; there was also knowledge of combat, the art of war, and even the crystallization of human civilization flowing within the river.
Ninglu's body continued to expand as if it were a balloon being inflated.
When he opened his eyes, he discovered that the furnace before him had become smaller.
【No! It hasn't become smaller; it is I who have become a giant!】
The "Barbarian" gains three extraordinary abilities, the most core of which is "Physical Enhancement," granting the extraordinary individual terrifying strength and a powerful physique.
However, as a Primarch, I am different from ordinary people; the power of the "Potion" activated the power latent within my genes, and the combination of the two forces transformed my body.
Although it was the Potion that catalyzed the complete awakening of my genes, the core driving force of this metamorphosis was actually the power latent within the Primarch's body.】
Ninglu continued to sort through all the abilities gained from this enhancement.
The second extraordinary ability of the "Barbarian" is Spiritual Enhancement, making his spirit more resilient.
Superimposed with the spiritual enhancement from the Primarch's gene awakening, he now possesses an indestructible will, his spirit as firm as a rock.
The third extraordinary ability of the "Barbarian" is Lung Enhancement and the "Feral Howl."
"Feral Howl" is to take a deep breath, transform and amplify it through the special lung structure after enhancement, and then emit a frenzied roar; the ultrasonic waves will cause enemies to fall into dizziness and induce mental Fear.
【This ability is not in my memory; it should be closely related to the lung sacs of the lung spider.】
Only at this moment did Ninglu understand the evolution pursued by the "Kingdom of Disorder."
After successfully breaking free from the seal on the Western Continent of the Blue Star, the Source Essence brought him to the Warhammer World to collect rarer materials and concoct Potions containing stronger extraordinary characteristics, making each Tier stronger than the original.
【Even high-Tier materials might be materials at the level of a C'tan Shard, so as to satisfy the requirements for the essential metamorphosis of the Source Essence.
Ultimately, when I ascend to become an Old One and contain the "Kingdom of Disorder," the final evolution will be completed together.】
After sorting through the extraordinary abilities of the "Barbarian," he began to organize his Gene Memory.
The Emperor created the Primarchs as Machines of war; among the knowledge he gained, the most was in the aspects of war and military, while architecture, art, and other aspects occupied only a very small portion.
【Even so, it can be called far exceeding the standard of a general scholar in various fields.】
After organizing all his gains, Ninglu looked at the armor that could only cover his vital parts and could not help but reveal a bitter smile.
【It's not without its downsides; the armor has turned into a chest guard and a codpiece.】
Ninglu picked up the short-range walkie-talkie and ordered the Artisan to prepare modular armor.
Immediately, he took out Moonstone and other materials from the "Kingdom of Disorder" and continued to concoct the "Sleepless" Potion.
After one work cycle, Ninglu put on his new armor.
To call it armor is more accurately described as a steel mesh pieced together from Miguel Steel.
In such a rush, it was impossible for the Artisan to develop a set of superhuman armor, let alone a set that would allow a demigod body to exert its full capabilities.
Ninglu did not mind; as long as it could temporarily cover his body, it would suffice.
True armor would only be possible to obtain after returning to the Imperium.
He ordered Bukayo to come to the control room to see him, then took the prepared "Sleepless" Potion and headed there.
Arriving at the door of the control room, Bukayo was already waiting respectfully; he was greatly shocked to see a giant walking over.
His first reaction was of the Ogryns he had encountered before, and he subconsciously gripped the weapon in his hand.
Immediately, Bukayo felt something was wrong; the giant before him was much taller than the tallest of those barbarians, standing over four meters tall, and he had to lower his head to walk through the passage designed for mortals.
The youth looked up and saw the giant's unarmored neck; his skin was not as rough as an Ogryn's, but crystalline like jade.
There was even a peculiar radiance about him, like the deities in the Old Night Myth legends before the Fire Priests arrived.
Bukayo felt an inexplicable power driving him to kneel and worship the deity who had descended to the world.
"Bukayo," a majestic voice like thunder came from the mouth of the deity before him, "come in with me."
The youth stared blankly as the deity pushed open the control room door with one finger and stooped to walk inside; a sound exploded in his mind, and he muttered uncertainly.
"Boss..."
"It is I," Ninglu managed to find a comfortable place to stand, "come in."
Bukayo's mind was full of questions.
【How could the boss become a giant in less than a shift?
Is he a god who has descended to the world?
He must be; he must have seen the cruel Hive City and come to save us!
...】
Bukayo shuddered violently; he walked quickly into the control room, and after closing the door, he worshiped Ninglu piously.
"Boss... no... deity..."
As he panicked, not knowing how to address him, the voice of thunder sounded.
"I am not a deity."
The Imperium of this era adheres to the Imperial Truth; considering Bukayo is someone he wants to cultivate, Ninglu must correct his form of address.
Bukayo was stunned for a moment; he quickly searched for suitable words in the family library database he had accessed before, and after a few seconds, he said tentatively.
"I offer you my loyalty; I should address you as my Master."
"Acceptable."
There are many who address a Primarch with such terms, and it will not cause any trouble.
"This is your reward."
Ninglu spread his large hand, and Bukayo walked over as if on a pilgrimage, piously receiving the metal cup with both hands.
"Drink it."
Hearing the command, Bukayo did not hesitate for a moment, tilting his head back and pouring the pitch-black liquid into his mouth.
The youth fell into an eternal night; he saw his own body below and the towering, magnificent figure standing there, terrified and helpless.
He met eyes that were profound, deeper than the night itself, and a majestic voice rang in his ears.
"Do as I say; simulate an object falling in your consciousness..."
Under Ninglu's guidance, Bukayo mastered Meditation and Spirit Vision.
Having become a Beyonder, he grew increasingly devout.
【Such power can only be bestowed by a god; the Potion consumed was merely a medium.】
Thousands of elites followed behind Ninglu, gazing at his mountain-like, magnificent back, their eyes filled with worship and reverence.
They felt that things were different now than before; in the past, they lived for survival, but now they followed a deity to pursue some noble cause.
Admittedly, they could not yet understand, and their meager vocabulary could not express it, but they could feel it.
Regarding consuming the Potion, some might say that Tzeentch obtains knowledge from the minds of the Beyonders he cultivates. I will give an example, such as Divination. Even if Tzeentch obtained all the knowledge, he could not replicate it for his followers.
One must drink the Potion to gain Beyonder abilities, rather than relying on so-called knowledge. With knowledge but no Potion, he could not create a "Diviner," because the Potion Formula is only held by Ninglu. He can grant followers Divination abilities, but it is a different system from that of a Beyonder.
To give another analogy, it is like teaching a mortal all the techniques of an Astartes; without the body, it is all in vain. If you know the Potion knowledge but have not drunk the Potion to gain Beyonder abilities, you cannot use it either.
Tier Potions are about constantly transforming the transcendent.
