Chapter 697: Yucheng Shidai's New Partner

Neither Yucheng Shidai nor Neos paid attention to Yubel's jealousy, letting her be angry and restless there. Yucheng Shidai continued: "Then Neo Space Connector, activate the second effect.

Sacrifice this card, and you can special summon a 'Neo-Spacian' monster or 'Elemental HERO Neos' from the graveyard to the field in defense position!"

At the beginning of this turn, Yucheng Shidai had already discarded two Neo-Spacians to the graveyard through the magic card "Convert Contact".

"I revive 'Neo-Spacian Dark Panther' from the graveyard!"

With the monster summon, what appeared on Yucheng Shidai's field was a mass of black substance like rotten mud. The substance flowed slowly, gathered together, turned out limbs, lay low on the ground, and turned into a fierce black panther.

【Neo-Spacian Dark Panther, Defense 500】

"Leave it to me, Yucheng Shidai!" The black panther also spoke in human language, "I will definitely help you bring back the important partner!"

Yubel on the other side was even more angry: "Oh, it seems that there are already enough spirits to replace my position, right?"

Yucheng Shidai said: "I return 'Elemental HERO Neos' and 'Neo-Spacian Dark Panther', two monsters from the field to the deck, contact fusion!"

Neos and Dark Panther rose into the air from left and right, accelerating until they turned into two meteors, both gathering and disappearing into the starry sky in the air.

"Dark Panther's power, lend it to me—"

"—Elemental HERO Dark Neos, summon!"

Neos, who gained the power of the black panther, turned into a pitch-black color, and the wings spread behind him were like wide cloaks. The blue crystal on his chest shone, and his body was intertwined with black and white colors, presenting a streamlined shape.

【Elemental HERO Dark Neos, Attack 2500】

In the anime, Yucheng Shidai's memory was not fully recalled when he met Yubel, and he didn't remember Yubel's monster effect, so he suffered a big loss. But at this time, he had long remembered Yubel's effect characteristics, knowing that it was very disadvantageous to face Yubel with strong attacks, and the more powerful monsters he summoned, the more fierce the backlash he would suffer.

Yubel is an opponent type that is difficult to deal with by strong attacks, and needs to prepare specific countermeasures to deal with it.

For example, Dark Neos.

"Elemental HERO Dark Neos's effect." Yucheng Shidai said, "Select an effect monster on the field, as long as Dark Neos is on the field, the selected monster's effect is permanently invalidated!"

Dark Neos reached out his right palm, and his palm spun sharply. The overbearing power immediately erupted in his hand like an endless vortex, as if invisible shackles were put on Yubel.

Yubel's face changed slightly: "Invalidate my monster effect?"

She immediately realized that this dark-form Neos was indeed her nemesis. Without monster effects, Yubel is just a 0-attack white board, and she is a living target, suffering attacks and being ridden in the face by the main body is no different, and she doesn't even have any value as a cannon fodder wall.

"I will definitely wake you up, Yubel!" Yucheng Shidai said, "Elemental HERO Dark Neos, attack 'Yubel'!"

Dark Neos attacked like a cheetah, drawing a dark trajectory with his claws and grabbing straight at Yubel.

"Neos, you want to take away my Yucheng Shidai, it's not that simple." Yubel shouted gloomily, "Activate face-down card, trap card 'Ballista Squad'!

Sacrifice a monster on your field and destroy any card on the field.

I sacrifice myself 'Yubel'!"

A giant crossbow appeared on the field, and several green-skinned pointed-eared goblins were operating on the side. Yubel jumped onto the crossbow, the goblins shouted and screamed, pulled the bow and fired, and Yubel turned into an arrow on the string and pierced towards Dark Neos.

Die together!

But Yucheng Shidai didn't intend to let Neos die together: "Quick-play magic 'Contact Out'!

Let the fusion of the Neo-Spacian fusion monster on your field be released! The fusion monster returns to the fusion deck, and if a set of fusion materials used for fusion is gathered in the deck, you can further special summon that set of fusion materials to your field!" Yubel's figure turned into a cannonball and rushed out, but just before the moment of hitting, Dark Neos suddenly split into two, re-separating into Neos and Dark Panther. Yubel missed the attack and just swept past the gap between the two monsters.

Yubel clicked her tongue: "Cunning Neos..."

"And Contact Out is a quick-play magic, activated during the battle phase." Yucheng Shidai said, "Therefore, the 'Elemental HERO Neos' and 'Neo-Spacian Dark Panther' special summoned through this effect can further attack this turn!"

【Elemental HERO Neos, Attack 2500】

【Neo-Spacian Dark Panther, Attack 1000】

Yucheng Shidai separated two monsters on his field, but Yubel had already sacrificed herself and turned into an empty field. And Yubel had already paid 1000 blood through the Mausoleum of the Emperor to summon herself last time, with remaining LP 3000, if the subsequent attacks of Neos and Dark Panther all passed, it would be a one-turn kill!

Yucheng Shidai waved his hand and said.

"Elemental HERO Neos, direct attack on Yubel!"

Neos took the lead, and a hand knife slashed down at Yubel.

"Want to drive me off the field so quickly, it's not that easy." Yubel sneered, "Activate face-down card, continuous trap 'Limit Reverse'!

Su Sheng a monster with 1000 or less attack power from the graveyard!"

(Author's note: Read every word without missing any!)

Yucheng Shidai was startled: "1000 or less attack power... Yubel's own attack power is 0."

"Correct!" Yubel said, "It's not that easy to get rid of me.

The effect of Limit Reverse, revive myself, Yubel, in attack position from the graveyard again!"

The resurrection trap was activated, Yubel wrapped her body with her wings and slowly rose from the ground, blocking the field again.

【Yubel, Attack 0】

And this time the resurrection state from the graveyard was refreshed, and Dark Neos was no longer on the field, so Yubel's effect naturally became effective again. Even if you hit it, you couldn't cause battle damage, and the damage would instead be reflected back to the attacker himself.

"Then the number of monsters on the opponent's field changed during the battle, the battle rolled back, and I canceled Neos's attack." Yucheng Shidai said.

Neos withdrew and returned to Yucheng Shidai's side.

Yucheng Shidai said: "Set a card, turn end."

Neos and Dark Panther landed on Yucheng Shidai's left and right, ready to go.

Yubel saw these two spirits so loyal, and her jealousy surged, and she became even more angry.

"Good, very good. It seems that Yucheng Shidai already has so many powerful spirits by his side, each so loyal, it seems he doesn't need me anymore. Good..."

Her voice became lower and lower, until the different colors of her pupils were almost swallowed by darkness.

"Then this turn, let Yucheng Shidai see it. After accepting further pain, my evolved posture again!"
