Chapter 698: The Darkness of Being Hated

"My turn, draw a card!"

Yubel drew a card and suddenly revealed the card in her hand.

"Magic card 'Pot of Greed', draw two cards from the deck!"

Yubel drew two more cards.

"Then change the Yubel in attack position on the field to defense position."

The Yubel on the field turned from attack to defense, and a horizontal card appeared at her feet, and the wide bone wings were like two halves of a shield, crossed and guarded in front of her.

【Yubel, Defense 0】

Yucheng Shidai said: "Actively change to defense position? So that's it, using the side effect of Limit Reverse..."

Yubel laughed: "Not bad, Yucheng Shidai, it seems you have studied well in these three years, and your homework is quite good.

Indeed, the side effect of Limit Reverse. This card can revive a monster with 1000 or less attack power to the field in attack position, but once that monster is changed to defense position, that monster must be destroyed."

She pointed at herself on the field.

"The moment I, Yubel, am changed to defense position, because of the effect of 'Limit Reverse', Yubel is destroyed!"

The continuous trap that originally revived Yubel now became the fuse for the explosion, blasting Yubel into pieces with a bang. Yubel's body was torn to pieces by the firelight, turning into countless fragments and shooting out from the fireball.

But in the firelight of the explosion and the lingering black smoke, something even more massive slowly emerged.

That was the posture of a demon. If the first stage of Yubel only covered the skin like a dragon and the scales of a demon, but at least maintained the posture of a human, then from the second stage, it indicated that it had completely abandoned the human form and degenerated into a thorough demon.

The demon body descended, accompanied by the momentum of destroying the world. Desperate darkness, chilling horror momentum, like a king of demons descending.

But that king's posture, looking through the thick darkness, faintly seemed to reveal endless sadness.

"Because there is no power to protect, the powerlessness of being unable to protect important people, that pain gave birth to me, Yubel. That is Yubel's first darkness."

Yubel said lightly.

"And in order to gain power, I didn't hesitate to throw myself into darkness, abandoning some important things. But even so, what I got in exchange was an incomparably ugly posture. After physical pain, it was mental, because that ugly and evil posture was not understood, was excluded, was hated..."

She slowly raised her hand.

"This is Yubel's second darkness, the second stage—"

"—Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare!"

【Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare, Attack 0】

Yucheng Shidai looked up at the ugly knight. It was originally a self-sacrifice to gain the power to protect, but in the end, it turned into such a sad posture.

"Where is it ugly..."

Yucheng Shidai said softly.

"Even if it's like this, it's clearly still very good-looking."

Yubel's pupils contracted, as if her heart had been hit hard, and she couldn't help but stagger back half a step.

But after only a short loss of consciousness, her eyes were quickly covered with darkness again.

"No, Yucheng Shidai, you don't understand... you are still far from understanding.

Battle!"

She shouted almost with her throat.

"Wait until I crush all your extra companions now, then you will truly understand!"

"Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare, attack 'Elemental HERO Neos'!"

The Ultimate Nightmare let out a sound between a roar and a scream, and its eyes flashed with seductive light. Neos's eyes also lit up with the same light, and an uncontrollable impulse surged in his heart, and his body couldn't help but rush forward, swaying and attacking Yubel. Once the battle was established, Yubel would be unharmed, but the 2500-point damage of Neos's attack would be reflected back to Yucheng Shidai himself.

"Come on, share together, suffer together, Yucheng Shidai!" Yubel said, "Then you can truly understand my darkness, everything about me!"

"I will understand, but not in the way you said."

Yucheng Shidai said.

"Activate face-down card, trap card 'Double Ceba Pose'!"

Yucheng Shidai's face-down card flipped, and it was the iconic trap of Tenjoin Asuka. And it had long been upgraded to a better physical card version by Asuka in You Xuan's laboratory.

"Double Ceba Pose, can only be activated when an opponent's monster attacks your attack-position monster."

Yucheng Shidai said.

"Give the opponent damage equal to the attack power of the attacked monster, and then change that attack to a direct attack on yourself!"

(Author's note: Read every word without missing any!)

Yubel: "!"

This is a quite beautiful response, and this trap has an even more powerful effect on Yubel than usual.

Letting the opponent's attack become a direct attack on oneself is originally a cost that one has to bear quite a lot of risk. But because Yubel's attack power is only 0, even a direct attack causes no damage.

It avoids letting the monster collide with Yubel, and while avoiding damage, it can further give the opponent a powerful counterattack, which can be said to be quite targeted against Yubel.

"Therefore, The Ultimate Nightmare becomes a direct attack on me." Yucheng Shidai said, "And then you have to bear the attack power value of Neos, which is 2500 points of damage!"

Neos instantly woke up under the blessing of the trap, immediately got rid of Yubel's mental temptation, and a light somersault jumped over the head of The Ultimate Nightmare, and his body turned into a beam of white light and rushed straight at Yubel.

"Cunning means, you just refuse my love like this?"

Yubel said angrily.

"But my love won't be resolved so easily!

Activate face-down card, counter trap 'Hell's Cold Gun'!"

Counter trap activated, a giant revolver appeared in Yubel's back row. Neos's hand knife slashed down, but the force hit a layer of invisible barrier, and the energy was all absorbed, instead filling into the revolver.

The gun rang, and a golden light was excited from the revolver, reflecting all of Neos's attacks back, piercing through Yucheng Shidai's heart. Yucheng Shidai staggered back two steps.

"Yucheng Shidai!" Neos said.

Yucheng Shidai stood firm after retreating two steps, gritted his teeth and shook his head with a smile: "It doesn't matter."

【Yucheng Shidai, LP 4000 -> LP 1500】

He looked up and stood firm, saying: "But the effect of Double Ceba Pose is not over yet.

The monster of your own that was chosen as the attack target—that is, 'Elemental HERO Neos', can attack the opponent directly in your next turn!"

Yubel said coldly: "That is on the premise that he can still attack in the next turn.

I set three cards to the back row."

Saying this, two cards had already exited the graveyard in one breath.

"At the end of the turn, I special summon two 'Lotus of the Abyss' from the graveyard!"

Yucheng Shidai was startled: "The two cards discarded by Graceful Charity before, it turns out they were all Lotus of the Abyss?"

【Lotus of the Abyss, Attack 0】 x2

"Then the effect of Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare!" Yubel said, "At the end of the turn, all other monsters on your field are destroyed!

And by destroying one through this effect, destroy a monster on the opponent's field accordingly!"
