Chapter 699: Final Darkness

"The effect of Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare!"

Yubel shouted angrily.

"Disappear, annoying Neos, and that Neo-Spacian!"

The knight of hatred let out a roar, blasting towards Yucheng Shidai's field with a momentum like a landslide.

Neos and Dark Panther both crouched on the ground in a defensive posture, and transparent defensive shields were generated through their bodies, blocking the energy barrier in front of them, but it was completely useless. Yubel blasted through the shield barrier with one blow, blasting both Neos and the Neo-Spacian into pieces.

Yucheng Shidai raised his arm to block in front of him: "Neos..."

"Forget your Neos, Yucheng Shidai!" Yubel said, "You don't need him, and you don't need anyone! You only need me, and having me is enough!"

Yucheng Shidai patted off the smoke and dust on his body, but ignored Yubel's words. He stood firm again, took a deep breath, and said: "My turn, draw a card."

He didn't refute Yubel's words, didn't try to argue anything, as if he didn't hear it at all. Such an attitude reaction only made Yubel's anger even more intense.

"You don't even have me in your eyes now? Yucheng Shidai?"

Yucheng Shidai said: "No, it's just that I know that no matter what I say now, it's not your original intention. Your cognition is distorted, and a large part of this is my fault.

If I hadn't abandoned you back then, and hadn't let you stay away from my side, perhaps all this wouldn't have happened."

Yucheng Shidai shook his head, but then turned and said.

"But from now on, it will never happen again. I will bring you back through this duel, and this time we will never be separated again.

I activate magic card 'Graceful Charity'. Draw three cards from the deck, then discard two cards from your hand."

Before discarding, Yucheng Shidai displayed one of the cards in his hand.

"Discarded a magic card 'Card of Compensation'. This card is discarded from the hand, and I draw two more cards from the deck."

Yucheng Shidai had already entered the main phase and continued to operate, but Yubel still kept complaining. Sometimes hating Neos, sometimes cursing Fujiki You Xuan, saying that it was because these guys occupied the position in Yucheng Shidai's heart that led to her being unwelcome.

"Activate magic card 'O - Oversoul', you can special summon an Elemental HERO normal monster from your graveyard back to the field."

Yucheng Shidai stretched out his arm and raised the magic card, and the O letter burning with ghostly purple flames flew out from the card, as if communicating with the underworld. The silver-white hero who had already fallen asleep in the graveyard suddenly flew into the sky, circled twice and a half in mid-air, and landed lightly and gracefully.

【Elemental HERO Neos, Attack 2500】

"Neos, it's Neos again!"

Yubel continued to scold.

"How much do you like this monster?"

Neos didn't answer, but just hugged his arms, floating in front of Yucheng Shidai's chest. He didn't say a word, but floated in the air and naturally revealed a sense of confidence.

"Neos is my important partner, and so are you, Yubel. You are all my irreplaceable partners." Yucheng Shidai said, "And there are more important companions, if it weren't for them, I couldn't have come this far...

Normal summon 'Neo-Spacian Grand Mole'!"

A humming sound came from the ground, and then the soil and gravel broke open, and a silver-white drill spinning at high speed rushed out from the ground. The drill split to both sides, revealing a furry mole head from inside.

【Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, Attack 900】

If Yucheng Shidai said "I couldn't have gone so far without it" to any other monster, it would be polite, but it's true to say this to Grand Mole. As the only big brother among the basic Neo-Spacians who had been invited into the forbidden limit card list, Grand Mole's status goes without saying.

"Return 'Elemental HERO Neos' and 'Neo-Spacian Grand Mole' from the field to the deck, contact fusion!" Yucheng Shidai waved his fist.

"The power of the earth, pierce the nebula—"

"—Elemental HERO Grand Neos, summon!"

Neos spread his arms, his figure was immediately shrouded in dazzling golden light, and even the outline of his body could not be seen clearly. Grand Mole also transformed into pure earth energy and blessed Neos. As the golden light bloomed, the light flashed, and heavy earth armor was worn on Neos, and the silver drill that was originally on the mole's head had also turned into Neos's arm weapon.

【Elemental HERO Grand Neos, Attack 2500】

Yubel said: "Another form change? But no matter how many fancy forms it is, it's useless! No matter how strong your monster is, you can't break my defense line!"

Yucheng Shidai said "Elemental HERO Grand Neos's effect activate!

Once per turn, return a monster on the field to the owner's hand!"

Yubel: "!"

Another insidious effect!

Yubel glared at this Grand Neos angrily, and in her heart recalled how sunny and straightforward Yucheng Shidai was back then, but now he had turned into such a shape. It must be because of that damn King of Games. Yes, the effects of these Neo-Spacians are so insidious, their pot must be indispensable.

"Nebula Hole!"

(Author's note: Read every word without missing any!)

Yucheng Shidai gave an order, and the drill in Neos's hand struck out from the air. A vortex like a black hole opened above Yubel, and the laser emitted from the drill hit Yubel directly, pushing that huge body towards the black hole, gradually being sucked into the vortex.

Yubel looked up at the huge demon being sucked into the black hole, and was lost for a moment.

She suddenly asked: "Yucheng Shidai, do you know, after experiencing even the second darkness, what is the... last darkness waiting in front?"

Yucheng Shidai said: "Yubel's third stage, the final stage?"

He had also heard Fujiki You Xuan say it.

Yubel nodded.

"In order to protect important people, I didn't hesitate to sacrifice the most precious things to gain power. Although that process is painful, it is not rare. In any world, there has never been a shortage of people willing to pay for their loved ones since ancient times."

"In order to protect, I turned into an abominable posture, and even the people I wanted to protect hated it, so that pain gave birth to 'The Ultimate Nightmare'."

"But this is not the end."

She paused and said sadly.

"After losing everything and then being hated, only loneliness remains. In the end, even the qualification to be hated is lost, completely forgotten, and can only wander alone in the endless darkness, that kind of heart-piercing loneliness."

Yucheng Shidai: "Yubel..."

The next moment, Yubel looked up and said: "Yucheng Shidai, now let you see, the last darkness I realized in endless loneliness...

Activate face-down card, trap card 'Dark Flash'!

Sacrifice a dark-attribute monster with 1500 or less attack power on your field, and destroy all special summoned monsters on the field!

I sacrifice 'Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare' with 0 attack power, new Neos, disappear again!"

Yucheng Shidai frowned: "Sacrifice yourself to destroy Neos, die together?"

"No, it's not dying together, it's evolution." Yubel said coldly, "When 'Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare' leaves the field, special summon the final form from the hand, deck, or graveyard—"

"—Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare Dragon!!!"
