Chapter 177: Cheng Han's Arrangements for Lin Qingya
Cheng Wan helped Qin Ping'an get dressed and took him downstairs.
Beside the dining table, Chu Li and Qin Yun Shu were eating breakfast.
Seeing Cheng Wan come down, Qin Yun Shu stood up immediately and said cautiously, "Sister-in-law."
Cheng Wan swept a faint glance over her and took Qin Ping'an by the hand, preparing to leave.
"Wanwan." Chu Li came over and gripped her shoulder, "Eat breakfast first."
Qin Yun Shu said ingratiatingly, "Sister-in-law, Brother only let me stay here for the night because he was worried about my safety; please don't misunderstand."
It looked humble, but in reality, it was all showing off.
Showing off the favoritism Chu Li had for her, his younger sister.
Cheng Wan hadn't even eaten breakfast yet, but she already felt full.
"No appetite." She brushed off Chu Li's hand, took Wen Ping'an by the hand, and drove away directly.
Chu Li's expression was somewhat dark.
Qin Yun Shu said softly, "Sister-in-law still doesn't like me."
Chu Li glanced at the time and asked her, "I'll take you back."
Qin Yun Shu pleaded pitifully, "Brother, I don't want to go back, I don't want to see Cheng Han, just let me stay here for a few days."
"Then go to your mother's place." Chu Li grabbed his car keys and went out.
Lady Qin had already divorced Qin Jianguo, and Qin Jianguo had left Yuncheng after a warning from Chu Li, so nowadays, the Qin Family villa was occupied only by Lady Qin.
Having one more person, Qin Yun Shu, was more than enough.
Qin Yun Shu could only agree.
Returning to the Qin Family, Chu Li left without even entering the main gate.
Lady Qin hugged her daughter and asked with heartache, "Yun Shu, why are you back?"
Qin Yun Shu shed tears, "Mom, Brother doesn't want me anymore."
She could clearly feel Chu Li's growing distance from her.
"What about Cheng Han?" Lady Qin asked.
Qin Yun Shu shook her head, "He doesn't like me."
"So what if he doesn't like you? As long as you sit firmly in the position of Young Mistress Cheng, no one can shake your position." A calculating look flashed in Lady Qin's eyes, "What you need to do now is hurry up and get pregnant."
With a child, her position would be even more secure.
……
Lin Qingya's surgery was very successful.
Although that hand could no longer grip with force, at least it had recovered somewhat.
She had already begun practicing using her left hand.
Whether it was for daily use or writing, she was gradually getting used to her left hand.
It was difficult, but she was persisting.
Cheng Wan accompanied her quietly.
After more than an hour, Lin Qingya finally put down the pen and paper.
Cheng Mingzhu wandered in from the doorway, "Cheng Wan, Lin Qingya, my dad is here."
Cheng Huade entered.
Lin Qingya looked at him with a cold expression; she didn't have a good impression of Cheng Huade.
After all, Cheng Huade had always disliked people like her, commoners.
Yet, Cheng Huade went against his previous cold attitude, a slight smile appearing on his face.
"Qingya, are you feeling better?"
Lin Qingya asked faintly, "Is something the matter?"
Cheng Huade didn't care at all about her coldness, his voice remaining incomparably gentle.
"Qingya, come home."
Come home?
Lin Qingya was stunned; go back where?
To the Cheng Family?
But she wasn't a member of the Cheng Family.
Cheng Huade continued, "Qingya, you were, after all, a child adopted by my eldest brother and sister-in-law, and they are no longer here. I should take on this responsibility, so come home with me, and from now on, just like Mingzhu, you will be a young lady of the Cheng Family."
Cheng Mingzhu was quite happy, "Lin Qingya, from now on you'll be my sister; don't worry, I'll take care of you."
Lin Qingya didn't know why Cheng Huade had suddenly come to ask her to go back, but thinking about it, it certainly wasn't anything good.
So she refused directly.
"I severed ties with the Cheng Family three years ago."
"Qingya."
"Please leave."
Cheng Wan stood up immediately, "Get out."
Cheng Huade frowned; his impression of Lin Qingya was still stuck on that timid girl from before. Three years later, she had become sharp.
"Lin Qingya, I have something to say to you." Cheng Huade changed his approach, asking Cheng Mingzhu and Cheng Wan to leave.
Cheng Wan naturally refused.
But Lin Qingya still let her go out.
Once the others had left, Cheng Huade said, "Lin Qingya, don't you want to know how your parents actually died?"
Lin Qingya sat up straight in an instant, her left hand gripping the quilt tightly.
"What do you mean by that?"
Her parents had died to save Cheng Han's parents, so later, Cheng Han's parents took her into the Cheng Family to raise her, treating her like their own daughter.
Cheng Huade walked to the window, his voice somewhat heavy, "The reason your parents passed away is because they discovered an incredible secret and were silenced."
Lin Qingya gritted her teeth and pressed, "What secret? Whose secret?"
Cheng Huade shook his head, his eyes filled with calculation, "Lin Qingya, my information is not free."
Lin Qingya leaned back against the headboard, "I don't believe you."
She did not believe things that lacked evidence.
"As you wish, but if you leave now, you will never know the truth about your parents' passing. I came here naturally because I have evidence. If you think it through, you can come find me at any time."
Cheng Huade left the hospital room.
Lin Qingya's complexion was somewhat pale.
She did not want to believe it, yet voices kept emerging in her heart.
Those voices urged her to investigate the truth, while another set of voices urged her not to believe it.
After all, Cheng Huade was not a good person.
"What did he say to you?" Cheng Wan entered, and seeing that Lin Qingya's complexion was not good, she asked immediately.
Lin Qingya came back to her senses and lowered her eyes, saying, "He just hopes I can return to the Cheng Family."
"For him to suddenly want you to go back out of the blue, it certainly isn't simple."
"I know."
Lin Qingya still had some rationality left; she would not decide to return just because of those vague words from Cheng Huade.
"Wanwan, I want to go abroad in a few days and come back when your child is born."
She did not wish to see anyone from the Cheng Family again.
Therefore, she wanted to leave as soon as possible.
Cheng Wan agreed, "Okay."
Lin Qingya said she wanted to keep her company, but how could she bear to let Lin Qingya stay in this unhappy place for several months? So, she had long since made arrangements for her.
"I had someone get you a university spot; after you go, you can take Kristin's classes."
Lin Qingya was shocked.
Kristin was her idol, and she had long planned to go study, but then the incident happened, and she didn't make it.
"How did you get the spot?" Lin Qingya asked with concern, "Did you go to Chu Li?"
Cheng Wan hesitated for a moment, then told the truth.
"Cheng Han got it."
Lin Qingya fell silent.
It was actually Cheng Han...
He clearly hated her, so why had he gone and arranged the school matter for her now?
"Qingya, Kristin's classes are very hard to book; you should leave as soon as your hand is better."
Cheng Wan urged her again, "Don't have any psychological burden; this is what Cheng Han owes you."
The corners of Lin Qingya's eyes were slightly moist; having reached this point with Cheng Han, him being able to send this spot meant he must have realized that his parents' death had nothing to do with her.
That was fine too; things between them had ended long ago.
"I know what to do, Wanwan." Lin Qingya had already made her decision.
Once her hand recovered a bit, she would go abroad immediately.
As for Cheng Huade, she would not believe a single word.
