Chapter 80: Elder Sun's Invitation
After a long while, Lu Chen finally stood up and took a document bag with a Wax Seal from the desk drawer.
He placed it gently in front of Professor Li.
"Please take a look first."
Lu Chen silently closed the study door, returned to the sofa, sat down, crossed his legs, and smoked his Cigar in silence.
"I can't control others, but I cannot tolerate this matter."
As Professor Li broke the Wax Seal, Lu Chen finally spoke.
"I have not opened Chen Mo's summary document."
After saying this, Lu Chen stopped speaking and just watched silently as Professor Li's expression grew worse and worse.
Until finally, after putting all the documents back into the file bag, Lu Chen reached out to steady Professor Li and brushed against the file bag, but he had no intention of looking at it.
He stood up, picked up the wax on Lu Chen's desk, and slowly sealed it.
"Is Xiaofeng aware of this?"
After a long time, Professor Li's unsightly expression slowly calmed down.
"I cannot guarantee it, but at the very least, Xiaofeng is definitely not aware of this specific document."
Lu Chen paused, took a deep drag of his Cigar, and after several minutes, spoke in a low voice.
"Tell that Chen Mo that from the moment he started keeping silent, all documents are to be destroyed."
Professor Li paused before speaking again.
"I will take this document with me, so that if you truly run into trouble later, it won't implicate you."
"You really shouldn't take this hot potato, sir; it is absolutely safe here with me, but that might not be the case at your place."
Lu Chen glanced at the doorway, his voice dropping a little.
"Would you like to open the document and look again?"
Lu Chen subconsciously glanced at a stack of reports in his portable space, as well as a stack of blank paper that had disappeared beside it.
A hint of a smile appeared in his eyes.
"Forget it, since you are unwilling, then just burn it; this matter must absolutely not leave behind any evidence."
Professor Li paused, then spoke, took out a lighter again, and directly ignited the document.
Lu Chen stood up and opened the window.
"Uncle Li, I am very ashamed regarding Xiaofeng's situation, so I didn't stop him when he left; if he goes to see you, you must try to persuade him."
Lu Chen's voice carried a hint of seriousness.
Professor Li did not speak, only watching the file bag slowly turn to ash, ensuring there was no residue left.
Only then did he nod silently.
He stood up and opened the study door.
"Kid, I won't be eating here today; I have an appointment with a Supreme Court Justice later, and I cannot be absent."
"I will see you out."
Lu Chen stood up and followed behind Professor Li, nodding slightly to Butler Wang, who was standing not far from the door.
He walked him all the way to the parking lot and sighed only after seeing Professor Li's car drive out of the Zhuangyuan.
Xiaofeng, you really must not do anything earth-shattering.
Your big brother here might not be able to handle it anymore.
After returning to the reception hall, Lu Chen silently preheated a Cigar.
Butler Wang hurried down from the second floor, bowed slightly to Lu Chen, and left the living room directly.
After a long while, Lu Chen smoked his Cigar and flipped through the newspaper.
Butler Wang walked over lightly and leaned down.
"Sir, news just came in; Elder Sun would like to meet with you tomorrow."
"That autopsy report, is it still here? Seal it in a file bag; it will be needed tomorrow."
Lu Chen paused, took a puff of his Cigar, and exhaled smoke.
A trace of guilt and a hint of coldness flashed in his eyes.
His tone carried a hint of iciness.
Butler Wang nodded slightly, stood up, and headed toward the second floor.
Lu Chen returned directly to the study, looking at the file bag that Butler Wang had just brought, which bore a Wax Seal, unable to calm down for a long time.
Early in the morning, Lu Chen finished getting ready early and rubbed his somewhat red eyes.
He straightened his suit again before heading downstairs.
"Everything is ready, right?"
Lu Chen glanced at Butler Wang and ignored Chen Mo, who was standing to the side.
After several seconds, he sighed.
"You stay in the Zhuangyuan; don't go anywhere recently."
"Boss, things haven't been peaceful lately; do you want to take two bodyguards?"
Chen Mo shrank back like a quail before speaking weakly.
"No need, no one dares to move against me right now. Your presence is my safest amulet."
Lu Chen took a deep look at Chen Mo and went straight out the door.
The motorcade stopped at Sun Manor after a while.
"Welcome."
Elder Sun was not sitting on the sofa this time, but instead stood up to shake hands with Lu Chen.
"Old Sun, you are truly too polite."
Lu Chen smiled and shook his hand, then sat respectfully in the seat Old Sun pointed to.
"Drink your tea; I have heard about your affairs from that girl, Luosha."
Old Sun poured a cup of tea for Lu Chen.
Only then did he pick up the Cigar resting on the ashtray to smoke, signaling for Lu Chen to make himself at home.
Lu Chen did not stand on ceremony; he pulled out a Cigar and began to preheat it.
"Do you have any instructions for me, sir?"
"How would I dare instruct you? You storm a hospital just like that; if one day you find this old fellow an eyesore, will you storm my Zhuangyuan just like that too?"
Although Old Sun's words were blunt, his tone carried a hint of teasing.
There was no solemnity on his face; it seemed to carry a trace of that playfulness Luosha had.
"Old Sun, the way you say that, it's as if I were a terrorist."
Lu Chen took a puff of his Cigar, pulled a document bag from his breast pocket, and placed it on the table.
He gently pushed it toward Old Sun.
"You may take a look; perhaps I didn't explain things clearly to Miss Luosha that night, causing you a misunderstanding."
"You should also send a copy of this document to Luosha; the pressure on her side is not small either."
Old Sun said this while gently prying open the document bag.
He glanced at Lu Chen, then pulled the two thin sheets of paper out from inside the document bag.
"Hiss, it seems you kid really have guts."
After several minutes passed, Old Sun's expression changed slightly before returning to normal.
"It seems this matter really does need that little girl Luosha to shoulder it. You kid really don't let people rest easy."
Old Sun silently took a puff of his Cigar, and after several minutes, he finally picked up the phone at his side.
"I'm looking for Luosha; if she has time, come over and have lunch together."
After a few simple sentences, Old Sun hung up the phone.
"No need for you to run around; that little girl Luosha has no plans this noon."
Old Sun paused, then gave Lu Chen a meaningful look.
"You bold and reckless kid, I think you are very well-suited for that little girl Luosha."
"Please don't tease me, sir; every elder I've met these past two days is urging me to get married."
Lu Chen was stunned for a moment, and it took several seconds before he smiled.
"I'm just a small fry who just arrived in Xianggang; please don't worry about it, sir. Let me establish myself in Xianggang first, then we can talk about marriage, alright?"
Old Sun reached out and pointed at Lu Chen, a hint of a smile still on his face.
He then stood up.
"You sit for a while; I'm going to go arrange things with the cook. That girl Luosha has a very picky palate; if I don't serve this young lady well, she'll make a scene for me again."
