Mages living in human cities guard the embers of their ancestors and sing ancient ballads, yet they drive red Mustangs, speeding down highways with a 120 km/h limit. In the world of mages, Luo Qi, a low-ability mage apprentice in his third year at the Northern Academy, finds himself in the miserable predicament of being short on credits and facing the possibility of being held back. Fortunately, heaven never closes every door; he lands an opportunity to serve as a mascot and assist with social practice for the genius senior Du Zhengyi to earn those credits.

But this social practice seems a bit different from what Luo Qi had imagined. A suddenly awakened ability, a wound in his memory that never heals... The world, with his life as the singularity, is rapidly collapsing.
